Flowmeter working principle:
The V-type flowmeters is a differential pressure flowmeters, it get differential pressure to reflect flow rate through throttle. Throttling set is a cone a hanging in the pipeline central. High pressure the static pressure upstream pH (positive pressure) gets from the wall before the cone, low pressure(the pressure downstream) PL (negative pressure) gets from cone central, square root of the differential pressure DP is proportional to the flow.
Product Features:

1. The V shape which installed at center of the pipe make it different with other PD flowmter, it can test more small differential pressure signal than other DP flowmeter.

2. The straight pipes before and after the V-type flowmeters require shorter.
Other type flowmeter if install bending tube, valve, contracted pipe or enlarged diameter pipe, three-way joints etc. Which all will affect the flow and generate error. But V-cone flowmeter installs a V-cone at the center of the tube, and flow can form the regular flow at upstream again, so overcome those problem.
Upstream straight pipe 0~3D, and downstream straight pipe: 0~1D.
3. High accuracy up to ± 0.5%, differential output values can achieve a good reproducibility (the measured accuracy is decided by the V-cone flowmeter, DP transmitter and secondary indicator etc).
4. Pressure loss is small, suitable for measuring the low static pressure and low flow's liquid.
5. Good repeatability, ± 0.1% or better.
6. Wide measure range, the typical V-cone flowmeter max. Flow to min. Flow ratio is 10: 1, bigger can be reached on order. When the Reynolds number low to 8000, still can generate differential pressure signal. So this V-cone flowmeter can test fluid which Reynolds much low.
7. Good long term stability.
Due to shrinkage of V-shaped cone shape, the fluid won't impact on the surface and make mutation, the cone surface generate boundary layer, guide the fluid leaving the β Side. This means that the β Edge won't wear by smudgy fluid, but orifice sharp edges are often weared. So β Coefficient remains the same, V-shaped cone flow sensor is characterized by the good long-term stability performance.

8. Good signal stability
Usually, the Differential pressure flowmeter have a "signal fluctuation" even under the condition of stable flow. The orifice meter, for example, will form a long vortex behind the orifice, the long whirlpool will produce high amplitude, low frequency orifice signals which interfere the flow meter readings. But V cone flow sensor, flow through the V-shaped cone body produce short vortices behind the V-shaped cone, produce low amplitude, high frequency signal, and transit the signal into a stable V-shaped cone signals.

9. Low Permanent fluid pressure loss.
Because the medium have no hit on the V cone. So the V cone flowmeter pressure loss is lower than orifice plate.

10. V coneβ Wide range of coefficient calculation.
The standard β Coefficient calculation range is 0.45~0.85.

11. No dirt articles stop at V cone flow sensor.
Because the medium flow through V cone directly, and no area to stop the dirts. So the flowmeter tube are clean and no fluid particles, residue, coagulation. It is special used to measure dirty medium.
