Working Principle:
Since the electrical conductivity of water and steam is very different, the function of the measuring cylinder is to obtain credit for the change of the water level through the change of the electrical contact resistance. In the liquid state, due to the small resistivity of the medium, when a voltage is applied between the electrical contacts, the current flowing is large; on the contrary, the current flowing through the electrical contacts that are not immersed in the liquid surface is small. The current flowing in these two states is very correlated, and can be used as a signal lock to the secondary instrument. After amplification, it can display and control the output, thereby realizing long-distance monitoring.
The electric contact level monitor is suitable for the level measurement and control of conductive liquids. It is mainly used for monitoring boiler bubble water level, high and low pressure heaters, deaerators, evaporators, condensers, direct current boiler starting separators and other water tank level measurement. But not suitable for flammable and explosive occasions.
