1. Overview
The steel ruler water level gauge provides the most accurate way to measure water levels, used to measure the water level in wells, boreholes and water pipes, particularly suitable for the observation of groundwater level in hydropower projects and artificial inspection of dam body infiltration line. The instrument can be used during construction, but also as a long-term safety monitoring with the project, complies with earth dam safety monitoring technical specifications.

3. Principle structure
There are two major components about the measurement of water level variation: 1. Buried underground material is composed of water pipe and the bottom cover (additional purchase) 2. Ground receiving equipment-steel ruler water level gauge, including the probe, steel ruler cable, receiving system and winding plate and other components. Probe part: Made of stainless steel. Install the water resistance contact point in the internal, when the contact point comes into the water, it will turn on the receiving system and alarm, once left the water, and it will stop. Steel ruler part of the cable: Made of steel ruler and wire by plastic technology, which prevents the steel ruler corrosion, but also simplifies the operation process, to make reading more convenient and accurate. Receiving system part: Consist of the sounder, indicator and peak indicator. The sounder gives a continuous beep, then the indicator light is on, and the peak indicates the voltmeter.
4. Usage method
When the reel is freely rotating, press the power button, then put the probe into the water pipe, at the same time hold the ruler cable, so that the probe slowly move down. When the contact point comes into contraction with the water, the sound device will be issued a continuous beep. At this point read out the depth of the steel ruler at the nozzle, that is the distance from the water table to the pipe mouth. (If the noise is measured in a relatively large environment, the buzzer cannot hear, then observe indicator and the voltmeter.) Users must pay attention to two points: A) When the probe contacts come into contact with the water, the sounder will sound, the indicator and the voltmeter pointer start to working. At this point should be slowly put steel ruler cable, in order to carefully find the pronunciation or indicate the exact location of the moment. B) The accuracy of the reading depends on the timely determination of the buzzer and indicating the starting position. The accuracy of the measurement and the operator's proficiency should be repeated practice and operation.
5. Maintenance
Due to the limited of battery capacity, do not forget immediately turning off the power switch whenever the measurement is completed! Remove the battery cover and replace the battery (9V battery, mustimeter battery). Keep the probe and steel ruler cable wipe clean after the measurement, and the steel ruler cable neatly around the reel, and then placed in the cabinet. Measure the cable should not bend, especially when close to the side of the head, so as not to damage. The probe should be gently, avoid severe vibration. If the probe is faulty, please send our factory.
6. Receipt and storage
Users check whether the number of instruments and packing list is consistent, if not, please contact with our factory. The instrument should be stored in a room temperature of -10 ~ +40 ºC. The room's temperature is not greater than 80% with non-corrosive gas, keep the room dry and ventilated. The equipment is subject to the rules of transportation, storage and use within one year from the date of shipment, if the product quality is lower than the technical conditions, we are responsible for repair and replacement, but unauthorized demolition, our factory will be not guaranteed.
