UI-P61 series intelligent pressure / differential pressure transmitter
General introduction:
Application:
UI-P61 series pressure/ differential pressure transmitter have many different types which are used to measure differential pressure, flow, gauge pressure, absolute pressure, vacuum degree, liquid level and specific gravity. Read carefully the order instruction table to confirm us the transmitter model, pressure range, signal output type and transmitter's structure materials.
 
Working principle:
When work, the high and low pressure side diaphragm and filling liquid pass the pressure to the center of filled liquid, the center filled liquid passed the pressure to center diaphragm ofδchamber sensor, and the sensing diaphragm is a tension elastic element, the displacement changed by the differential pressure ( GP gauge pressure transmitter, atmospheric pressure is like exert the pressure on the low pressure side of the sensing diaphragm; AP absolute pressure transducer, low pressure side always keep a reference pressure). The largest displacement of diaphragm is 0.1 mm, and the displacement is proportional to the pressure force. The capacitor plate on both sides sense the diaphragm position. The differential capacitance value between Sensing diaphragm and electrical capacitor plate is transferred into the corresponding current, voltage or digital HART output signal.
PCB module
The transmitter PCB module adopts special using Integrated Circuit (ASICS) and surface sealing technology. When the PCB received the digital signal from sensor diaphragm and coefficient corrected correct the signal and linearizing it. PCB output the digital signal to analog signal output and communicate with Hart operator. Is insert the LCD head to the PCB, then the transmitter can display the pressure unit and percentage unit digital output.
The data configuration
The configuration data stored n the transmitter circuit board EEPRQM permanent storage. So the Transmitter still can save the data even power off. Therefore the transmitter can work immediately once power on.
Digital / Analog converter and signal transmission
Process Variable is stored by data mode. Can be fine corrected and engineering unit converting. Then the corrected data is converted into analog signal output. The HART operator can store the sensor digital signal directly with higher accuracy which don't need digital / analog converting again.
Software function:
HART protocol make user easily to configure, test and set the UI-P61 series transmitter.
Communication Mode
UI-P61 series pressure/differential pressure transmitter adopts HART protocol communication.
The protocol adopts the industrial standard Bell202 frequency shift keying (FSK) technology, superimposed a high frequency signal on the current output signal to realize the remote communication. This technology can make the transmitter communication and output at the same time and without influence the Loop consistency.
The configuration
UI-P61 series pressure/differential pressure transmitter can be easily configured with HART hand operator. The configuration includes two Aspects. First. The transmitter operational parameter Settings, include Settings:
l   Zero and span set
l   Linear output or square root output
l   Damping,
l   The engineer unit selection
The second, the informational data of transmitter deposited in the transmitter which to recognize the transmitter and make physical description for the transmitter. These data include:
l   Location number: 8 letters, number and characters
l   Descriptors: 16 letters, number and characters
l   Information: 32 letters, number and characters
l   Date & integrated transmitter head installation
l   Flange type, and flange material
l   Drainage/exhaust valve materials & O ring material
l   The remote parts material information
In addition to the above, the software also contains many non users can modify information: the transmitter types, sensor limited, the minimum range, filling liquid,  the diaphragm material, diaphragm head serial number and software version number.
 
Test
UI - P61 series pressure/differential pressure transmitter can do self-inspection consecutively. If problems found, transmitter will activate the users optional analog output alarm, can check the problem with HART hands operator to determine the problem. Transmitter output specific information to the HART operator to help identifying the problem and maintenance immediately. If the operating personal convinced that the problem is come from circuit return, the transmitter can provide the specific output by asking which is for use of loop test.
The specific Settings
Specific Settings for transmitter first time setting and the digital PCB maintenance. It allows fine adjustment to the sensor and the analog output to meet factory pressure standards. In addition, the characteristic function avoid the user accidental or intentional adjusting the setting point of analog output.

Fault alert
Self-diagnostic function detected the transmitter failure, then analog signal is output by lower than 3.9mA or higher than 21mA to alert user. The high or low alarm signal can be selected by user.

Transmitter protection
Use transmitter protection function can prevent changes the transmitter configuration, including preventing the device zero and span adjustment. Protect function can be set by internal switch.
Over voltage alarm
If the transmitter output a negative overvoltage, then the analog signal output 3.9mA; If the transmitter output an positive over voltage value, the analog signal output 20.8mA.
Damping
Silicone oil filling at room temperature, the electrical damping is 0~32seconds.The smallest time constant is 0.1 seconds (range 3 is 0.4 seconds).
High temperature silicone oil filling transmitter, this value will be higher.
