Single Body Sewage Combination Air Valves Design Features:
Operate same as Air Valves for Water, differing only in appearance with elongated taller bodies. Elongated bodies minimize clogging by permitting use of a much longer float stem, to prevent the sewage from fouling up the mechanism. For ease of maintenance, Flushing Attachments are recommended with the Valves, as shown. When adding Sewage Air Valves to your pipeline, the same criteria applies, as with the standard Air Valves. However, the potential for air entrapped with Sewage pipelines, is even greater than that found in water lines, because Sewage media generates large quantities of gases. Therefore, it is recommended each high point be protected with an automatic Sewage Air Release Valve.
Air vent valves are used to allow the pressure in the tank to balance while preventing the spillage of the fluid through the vent lines. These valves allow the free flow of fluid or air in or out of a chamber or tank until they close, usually activated by a float.
During refueling, incoming fuel dis-places the air in the tank. The vent valve allows this air to escape through a designated vent path
When the tank is full, the float valve closes preventing the fuel from escaping. These valves also allow air to re-enter the tank as fuel is consumed, preventing dangerous negative pressure and potential fuel starvation. Vent valves protect the fuel tank from pressure damage resulting from expansion and contraction of the fuel due to changes in temperature. In some applications they incorporate measures to prevent the fuel from exiting the tank when the aircraft is inverted either during flight or in an emergency.
Why remove air from a water system?
Every building services engineer knows that air trapped in either a hot or chilled water system can cause trouble, such as excessive noise, corrosion and increased maintenance costs. Air can cause air locks which
inhibit the filling of the system or the priming of pumps. It can seriously affect the accuracy of flow measurement meters and regulating valves. Under extreme conditions it may even temporarily decommission plant.
Air and other incondensable gases considerably reduce heat transfer efficiency. A film of air 1 mm thick presents the same barrier to heat transfer as a wall of copper 13 m thick!
Entrapped air in any water system is a threat to thermal efficiency. It is particularly damaging in a chilled water system which does not have the natural deaerating ability of hot water.

Structure and Usage
This valve is barrel type valve,internal mainly include stainless steel float ball and plug.
This valve is applied to the pump outlet or in the pipeline of water distribution, used to eliminate a large number of air in the pipeline, to enhance use efficiency of water pipe and pump. The SCARX Sewage air release valve will suction air rapidly as soon as appeared negative pressure in the pipe, to ensure that the pipeline will not be damaged by the negative pressure.
When the pipe start water injection, the plug stay in the open position start to release air. After the air release, the water in inner valve cavity float the floating ball, make the plug to close position, stop releasing air; when the water in pipeline is transport normally, if has a spot of air gathered in the valve until more and more, the water level in the valve will drop, the floating ball also drop. This moment, the air will released by the small orifice. The plug will be opened, suction air to ensure the safety of pipeline when the pump stop working, water in the pipe flow out completely, or appear negative pressure in the pipe.
